President's Review

The year in review we witnessed many new policies and developments in health care, particularly in the intermediate and long-term care sector which our Centre is part of.

In compliance with MOH requirements, our Centre developed and implemented a set of Policy and Procedures which helped us improve our standard of operations. We also reviewed our Staff Handbook.

I am pleased to announce that ANRC has been accredited by

MOH’s Agency for Integrated Care as community rehab centre for 2 years. Our IPC status has also been extended for a further 2 years. As President, I wish to thank all staff and board members for the dedication and service rendered for ANRC to attain these 2 milestones. Let us all continue to lead our Centre to maintain and improve our standard of operations to meet the new requirements and challenges in the healthcare industry.

Going forward, patient load remains a challenge. We will look into new ways to expand our rehab services to the community.

For the financial results of the year, I wish to thank the hardworking fundraising committee members, board members and staff for their contributions in organising the various fundraising events. We are also thankful and deeply appreciate all our generous donors and kind supporters for their donations.

The funds raised not only helped with the operations of the Centre but also enabled us to continue helping the poorer patients who cannot afford the already highly subsidised fee charges after the Means test. In all, we further subsidised the fees of 62 patients during the year in review.

In addition to our rehab services, the Centre continued to organise health talks and healthy cooking classes for our patients, their families and residents living around our Centre in the Marsiling area.

ANRC will continue in our mission to provide love and care for the sick and incapacitated in the northern part of Singapore.
